Here are my favorite and very reliable sources for ingredient directories:

Are you a doctor or a chemist? How do you know so much about skin care?

I am not a doctor, nor a chemist, nor an esthetician. I think of myself as a skin care journalist. I try a lot of products, and do a ton of research. I regularly seek out peer reviewed studies on skin care ingredients, and I love to ask questions. I seek out trends, try a lot of new things, and meticulously document my results with notes.

If you get nothing else from my videos, that I am going to be makeing, is that you need educate yourself, take responsibilty for yourself as well as your own skin. Be in charge, be the informed customer!

Lancome // Miracle Cushion – Porcelaine
Maybelline // Fit Me Concealer – 15
Essence // Eyebrow Designer – Soft Blonde
Anastasia // Tinted Eyebrow Gel – Blonde
Bourjois // 1 Second Mascara
Max Studio // A.M Quad
Missha // Dramatic Rose Petal Blusher – Coral Rose*
NYX // Butter gloss – Tiramisu

Disclaimer: I purchase most of the products in my videos myself, but sometimes I’m lucky enough to have the opportunity to try and review products sent by brands for consideration. I also have amazingly lovely friends that may give me a gift or two from time to time. If used, these items (both gifts and products sent for review) will be marked with a (*).     Crying I've been looking for this video that I watched 2 months ago for about an hour, I finally found it ;_____;

  2. Completely into ingredient list now. Was gifted a few face masks once I saw talc on there, 7 from the top I was like oh no let me get some info. Your vidoe was so helpful thanks

  3. candyB says:

  5. Shellz Way says:

Love this! Very helpful and informative! I find with skincare less is always more. Google is definitely a tool we should all be utilizing more often when it comes to skincare. Thanks for the info! Liked & Subscribed! 🙂

  6. Anna Frenkel says:

i really love the idea of these videos but i think i don't get enough information out of them. i looked at my skincare and i don't know if its good. i couldn't find the listed alcohols but there are others in it like ropylene Glycol, Clycerin, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol. i assume that is not good? god i am so confused

  7. Schade, dass solche Videos immer noch gemacht werden müssen. Ich bin immer wieder geschockt, wenn meine Freundinnen mir eine Creme empfehlen, weil sie soooo gut riecht oder die Verpackung so hübsch aussieht.

  8. Riotschminke says:

    You are just so great!

  9. Das Video war echt hilfreich! Danke dafür 🙂

  10. Johanna F. says:

Super Video! 🙂 Ich kaufe Produkte beinahe ausschließlich nach Inci-Liste. Codecheck ist der ständige Begleiter. 😀
Vielleicht hättest du bei den Alkoholen noch Cetearyl Alkohol als unproblematische Ausnahme erwähnen können.

  11. Really loving this series 🙂 What should people look for in haircare (to avoid)?

Ich werde dein Video in einem meiner kommenden Blogposts zu dem Thema verlinken. Danke für die gute Aufbereitung! Thumbs up 😉

  13. You're so helpful thank you !

  14. Olga Joanna says:

I started to read ingredients lists after my skin became (all of a sudden- in my 20s! =_=) allergic to ingredients like SLS, beeswax, most of artificial fragrances, paraffinum liquidum, etc. And I found out that good skincare doesn't have to be pricey or marked as "natural". What I don't get is paying hundreds of dollars for creme de la mer or chanel moisturizers, while you can have equally good (or better) product for 10 times less? Great video!

  15. Kitty says:

    Brilliant! Thanks so much

  16. EliDollable says:

I saw in a past video that you purchased the Timeless 20% Vitamin C + E Ferulic Acid Serum and that you enjoyed using it so I decided to give it a try. It really has brightened my skin and has gotten rid of some mild sunspots. However, I have been getting blackheads. Most recently, my face stings not throughout the day, but just for a few minutes after I have applied it. I wanted to know if this is normal and if you experienced the same while using it?

  17. Finally a YouTuber who is brave enough to say all these things in public! Well done! I am so glad that you are here making videos. Even if I don't get a ton of new information. I always read INCI, always research ingredients what I do not know yet. I think there are so many products on the market with shocking ingredients lists… Please do more and more videos I'd love to se them!

  18. Anna Robson says:

Thanks so much for this informative video, would be great to see more of these and what products you particularly recommend for having the less irritating ingredients 🙂

  19. Great and informative video ! You are so eloquent , i love that about your channel 🙂

  20. The Patient says:

I recently went to the drugstore to pick up some new skincare goodies and I think I spent almost 1 1/2 hours reading and comparing ingredient lists … being a skincare addict is time consuming but soo worth it! xx

  21. Best skincare video ever
    Keep up the good work!!

  22. Linda Bloggt says:

Great video for clean skincare and INCI newbies like me! 🙂 Thank you! 🙂

  23. Selina Rose says:

That's why i love LUSH- i can read and understand all of the ingredients xx

  24. linachevée says:

To be honest I never check the ingredients of my beauty products. So thanks for that wake-up call 🙂
